Building & Bala Initiatives

BALA is a way of planning and utilizing school infrastructure holistically. It includes the ideas of activity based learning, child-friendliness and inclusive education for children with special needs (CWSN). Basically, it believes that school architecture can be a resource for teaching-learning processes.
Since buildings are a school’s most expensive physical assets, efforts should be made to extract maximum educational value from them. Thus, BALA is all about exploring the uniqueness of three-dimensional space as a child-friendly learning resource for children.
